A welcoming dog-friendly patio, delicious food and the little extra touches that made breakfast with our pup feel special.

If you’re looking for a welcoming spot to enjoy a delicious meal with your dog in Santa Clarita, Marston’s is definitely worth checking out.

From the moment we arrived, the friendly, smiling staff made us feel welcome and happily directed us to their dog-friendly outdoor dining area.

On this visit, I decided to enjoy breakfast with my pup. Marston’s serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, but their breakfast has earned quite a reputationโ€”and after trying it, I could see why! ๐Ÿ˜‹

๐Ÿณ Breakfast With My Favorite Dining Buddy

The dog-friendly seating is located on the covered outdoor patio, which gave us a comfortable place to relax and enjoy breakfast together.

Marston’s didn’t have a dedicated dog menu when we visited, but the staff was kind enough to help us put together something simple for my pup from the regular menu.

For breakfast, I ordered one of my dog’s favorites: a poached egg with cottage cheese, which they even served in a disposable dish just for him.

I loved my breakfast, and judging by the very happy pup sitting beside me, he loved his too! ๐Ÿถโค๏ธ

It’s always nice to find a restaurant where you can enjoy a quality meal while your dog gets to be part of the experience.

But there was one more little thing that made this visit especially memorable.

โค๏ธ A Personal Touch That Made Us Feel Welcome

During breakfast, Marston’s owner and head chef stopped by our table to ask how everything was.

It was a simple gesture, but such a personal oneโ€”and it made us feel like they genuinely cared about our experience.

Between the friendly staff, the comfortable dog-friendly patio, a happy pup enjoying his breakfast beside me, and that personal touch from the owner, Marston’s made us feel truly welcomeโ€”not just as customers, but as guests. ๐Ÿพโค๏ธ

๐Ÿงบ A Fun Bonus: Marston’s Picnic Menu

Planning to enjoy one of the area’s outdoor concerts? Marston’s currently offers a special Picnic Menu, with salads and picnic dinners packaged for the occasion.

This is different from their regular takeout menu, and current instructions say orders must be placed 24 hours before the concert.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Check Marston’s current Picnic Menu for details before ordering.

๐Ÿพ A Note About Dining Out With Your Dog

We love bringing our dogs along with us, but being a responsible dog owner is especially important when dining at a restaurant.

Before heading out, make sure your pup has had a potty break and is ready to be a polite restaurant guest.

It’s also important to remember that not everyone feels the same way about dogs. Some people may have allergies, while others may simply be uncomfortable or afraid around them.

We always try to be considerate of the people around us. If needed, we’re more than happy to move to another table to give someone a little extra space. A small gesture like that can make the experience more enjoyable for everyone.

If your dog is still learning how to behave at a restaurant, that’s okayโ€”it takes practice!

Consider starting during a quieter time when the restaurant isn’t as busy. This gives your dog a chance to learn what’s expected without being overwhelmed by crowds, noise and distractions. As your pup becomes more comfortable, you can gradually work up to busier environments.

And remember: a dog-friendly restaurant doesn’t necessarily mean every dog will enjoy the experience. You know your dog best, and sometimes the kindest choice is choosing an outing that better fits their comfort level.
